Animation and puppetry are beautifully combined in the short film The Firefly Man.
The Firefly Man is a beautiful film directed by Todd Fjelsted that mixes puppetry, animation and special effects and tells the story of a dying man who relives past nightmare and reunites with lost loved ones. It was created with a surprisingly large crew for an independent short (reportedly over 50 artists were involved with the making of it) and all their care and work really shows. The film was big hit on the film festival circuit a few years ago and it's easy to see why.
