Two puppet music video posts in a day...what are the odds?
I guarantee that this insanely cool video for a cover of Nelly's It's Hot In Herre will blow you away. It's a spoof of flashy hip hop videos (especially Francis Lawrence's vids for Justin Timberlake) that was done using a combination of marionettes, rear-screen projection, 3D animation and After Effects. The video was directed by Alex Molton and Canadian puppeteer Thomas "Lord of the Marionette" Sontag; Thomas' Montreal-based DJ brother Tiga recorded the cover.
