Whoopi Goldberg is one of several human guest stars slated to appear in the new Muppet holiday special Letters to Santa - A Muppets Christmas.
NBC is bringing the Muppets back to T.V. for a holiday special this year. Letters to Santa - A Muppets Christmas is set on Christmas Eve and involves Kermit and the gang racing against time to deliver a happy Christmas to the kids whose wishes were lost in the mail.
Christmas is familiar territory for the Muppets. I still love watching A Muppet Family Christmas every year or so and think that The Muppet Christmas Carol is one of the best things the Muppets have ever done. Unfortunately, the last Muppet Christmas movie was just okay. It's exciting to hear that this one will feature music by Paul Williams so here's hoping it lives up to its potential.
Update: When I posted this earlier I didn't realize that Letters to Santa is currently in production in New York. Yesterday they were filming on location at a Synagogue in Brooklyn Heights.
