A student at the ETC performs a digital version of Beaker wearing a virtual reality helmet.
Following up on Monday's digital Mahna Mahna, here's another digital Muppet project from students at Carnegie Mellon University's ETC. They've created a virtual reality version of The Muppet Show where a user "performs" the characters wearing a VR helmet and using motion capture hardware.
The project was created as part of ETC's Building Virtual Worlds project course that has interdisciplinary teams build helmet-based interactive virtual worlds. Students in the course have produced some incredibly cool work, including a stunning Super Mario World project and one based on Monsters Inc. You can see the entire collection of projects here.
