Videogame Theater coming to MTV

Videogame Theater
Videogame Theater is a new sketch comedy series coming to MTV that uses puppetry to poke fun at classic video games.

I first mentioned Videogame Theater back in March (see previous post), but since then it's gotten getting a fair bit of media attention and the pilot episode was so popular on the web it's been picked up a series for fourteen episodes by MTV Flux Italy, which is great news!

The series was co-created by B.J. Guyer (a puppeteer and producer on Crank Yankers), Scott Chernoff (one of the founders of Channel 101) and Frank Meyer. I'm not sure when it's scheduled to debut, but until it does you can check out the pilot episode as well as some media coverage of the series online.

30/10/06 Update: B.J. Guyer wrote in to clarify that the show was actually commissioned by MTV Italy and hasn't been sold in the U.S. yet. Hopefully it will find a broadcast home on this side of the globe soon!
